Day 1Hometown to Beijing
Board an international flight bound for Beijing, eager to begin our China vacation. Spend the night aboard as our flight crosses the International Date Line.
Day 2Arrive in Beijing
After retrieving your luggage and clearing customs, your guide will accompany you to your deluxe accommodations.
Day 3Beijing (American Breakfast, Special Dinner)
Today you’ll begin your China sightseeing tour. The first stop is Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing. Then head for the magnificent Forbidden City, which stood as the imperial palace for China from the Ming Dynasty until the end of the Qing Dynasty, a period of 500 years. Next you will visit the exquisite 15th century Temple of Heaven – to see the Imperial Ceiling of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. In the evening, you will enjoy an authentic Peking Duck Banquet.
Day 4Beijing (American Breakfast, Lunch)
Today you’ll see and perhaps climb the Great Wall of China, one of the country’s most famous tourist attractions and one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world. It runs about 5,500 miles through 150 different counties. You will then have a Seminar on Chinese Jade Culture at a local Jade Museum. After lunch, tour the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site with the largest imperial garden in the world, and a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty.
Day 5Beijing - Shanghai - Suzhou (American Breakfast)
Fly to Shanghai in the morning. And then be transferred to Suzhou. Suzhou, which dates back to 514 BC, is sometimes called the “Venice of the East”. And visit Shan Tang Street, which has always been regarded as the first name of Suzhou ancient streets. It has a long history of about 1,100 years, its layout and architecture are the best to represent the characteristics of Suzhou’s old alleys, and it has connections to many ancient Chinese celebrities and anecdotes.
Day 6Suzhou - Hangzhou (American Breakfast, Lunch)
Today you will visit the Lingering Garden, Silk Spinning Factory. The Lingering Garden (Liuyuan) is a renowned classical Chinese garden and is recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. China is known for its silk, so for sure, we will take you to the China #1 Silk Spinning Factory. Then, we’ll drive you to Hangzhou.
Day 7Hangzhou - Shanghai (American Breakfast)
Hangzhou, one of the seven Capitals of ancient China and known for its tea products. This morning take a leisurely Boat ride on West Lake to see the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou’s willow-draped islands and admire the Su Causeway before stopping for a taste of Dragon Well Tea at the Longjing Green Tea Village. Later drive back to Shanghai, the largest city by population in China. Stop at the famous Bund before transfer and check-in your hotel.
Day 8Shanghai (American Breakfast)
Free day at leisure or take an optional Shanghai City Tours. Sight-see Shanghai’s highlights: Old Town Shanghai and the Shanghai Silk Factory where you can do some shopping. Continue on to modern Xintiandi & Nanjing Road, China’s #1 Shopping Street.
Day 9Shanghai - Gateway (American Breakfast)
All good things must come to an end. Board a return flight back home and bid farewell to China.
